Smooth and malty. A true European red with 100% two-row malted barley, spalter hops and Munich malts. German lager yeast and a minimum six weeks of cool, cellaring.

Very clear amber in color. Thin head but left a decent lacing as it went down. Some caramel and lightly roasted malts in the nose. Taste is a bit neutral and bland though. Also mouthfeel is on the thin side for a Vienna.

Nice malty, apricot aroma. At first I thought this was an amber ale (I didn’t look too closely at the label). As it warmed, however, it began to get an odd bitter, nutty, sweaty flavor that did not work for me. As amber lagers go, this is not bad.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2006 Had this one on my Northwest flight to Hawaii the other month. Poured an Amber color with a smaller head. Malty caramel tastes with a light hoppy finish. Re-rate from 12oz bottle. Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of grain, and caramel. Tastes of caramel, grain and some hops. Thin body.

Bottle pours a nice amber color with a decent head and no lace. The aroma is of slight hops. The flavor is slightly yeasty, malty, and a minor hop finish with a rather thin body. Overall, fair...

Bottle. Clean slightly sweet malt aroma with a touch of grass. Copper colored with a thin, mostly diminishing white head. Clean malty flavor with a light mouthfeel and a quick dry finish. Enough hops for balance without showing up in the flavor. Thin and easy to drink, kind of like a slightly less flavorful Point Classic Amber.

Bottle. The beer pours to a glowing orange body with a creamy off-white head. Nice visible carbonation and decent lacing. The aroma is malty and has that typical earthy toffee and grain sack qualities. Subtle hops. The flavor has tons of malty grains. Light buttery peanuts. Definitely has that Vienna lager quality to it. Light herbal hops.

Pour is a orange with a white head. Aroma is a bit of grainy malt with no hops present. Flavor is a toasted biscut with some lingering hops. Nothing to go out and find and not really in the horrible catagory but it does have some promise of being a good beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear light amber color with a medium size diminishing white head. The aroma was sweet caramel malts with some grass and citrus notes as well. The flavor is essentially all malts, sweet caramel, with artificial tasting vanilla present as well. Not much in the way of hops. Syrupy yet the mouthfeel is rather light. Drinkable, but nothing special.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2013 Tap. Mostly clear amber pour with a clingy white head. Pretty simple aroma and flavor of caramel malt and mild hop. Okay.
