Hesitant to try this blind being a sixer and all, wow. Outstanding beer. I am thrilled that I have 5 more after this. A red IPA is the best definition and name. Really, really pleased with this.

Can. Copper/red pour with light tan head. Smells of malt, citrus hops and a slight funkiness. Tastes of the sweet malts on the front with a very slight hop bitter finish.

Live Rate from my phone? Why the F not? Pours a brownish red with a big but spotty head. Aroma offers caramel & toasted malts. Aroma also offers some citrus & piney hops. Flavor offers a good bit of astringency... Some hop fruitiness is offered as is a good dosing of toasty and caramelly malts.

This stuff is alright, but it’s less than the sum of it’s parts. It’s neither as good as a solid Irish Red, nor as good as solid IPA. But it’s better than a kick in the pants.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2013 Clear amber/slight red. Frothy stays with it til the end.
Aroma of caramel, toasty cookie. Maybe a slight fruit/floral.
Taste is well, like an irish red and ipa. Hoppy in a sense of grassy and bitter astringecy. Nothing much other than that for hops. Tea.
Smooth bittersweet but more bitter and pretty tart and astringent really.Almost sour finish but not overly. .Very strong grassy/citrus bitter. Not alot going in terms of flavor/aroma for the ipa part. Ok,not too enthused about a sixer of this really. This one grew on me alittle by randomly drinking the sixer over time.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark copper to amber pour with a 3 finger, fluffy beige head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma of woody malts, caramel, spicy, planty and citrus hops and a nice, bright fruitiness, that I can’t really place, maybe yeast or hop related reminds me of tart berries and melons. Flavor is loaded woody, husky malts, some caramel, toffee, toasted bread, lots of pine and hop bitterness, along with grainy tannins to the finish. Light body with a chalky, dry feel and medium carbonation. Not bad, but there is too much planty, tannin type bitterness.
