TheBeerOrg (1368), Kentucky, USA Apr 15, 2008 Bottle from Friar Tuck’s in Bloomington, IL - Pours clear golden with a wispy mostly receding white head. Aroma of citrus, honey, and grainy pale malt. Tastes of toasted pale malt, orange peal, light yeastiness. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Below average, and certainly doesn’t look unfiltered to me.
lb4lb (1233), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 24, 2008 Bottle courtesy of hopdog as an extra. Thanks!
Pours a slight hazed light yellowish murky color with no lasting head. Smell is fruity malt, citrusy with a touch of oranges perhaps. Medium bodied with nice prickly carbonation. No real strong wheat flavor, but refreshing and simple. Good for a hot day, and much better than the reviews indicated, I thought. grimreeser (602), Minnesota, USA Jun 23, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Light aroma of wheat and orange. Not much flavor. jbuzz (396), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Mar 19, 2008 I don’t even know how to rate this. It was not bad. Just odd. I kept looking at the bottle as i was drinking it. Like it was going say some thing to me...
I found it sour and kind of dry. And odd. bhensonb (2687), Woodland, California, USA Feb 6, 2008 Interesting wit aroma, but not strongly spicy. Hazy golden color with no significant head. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is light citrus, very mild yeast, and wheatishness. The finish is reasonably dry. It’s refreshing. It’s drinkable. It just doesn’t make a definite statement.
