a really good value buck a beer because of the extra 0.5%, tastes watery and a bit sour, but not unpleasant and at least tastes more substantial than mooseheads other beer
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 3, 2006
Bottle. Yellow bodied brew, sweet malty aroma with a touch of fruit character. Mild flavour with a sweet malty bass, very mild bitterness. Touch of ingering fruit in the aftertaste. Average palate. Nothing special but surprisingly drinkable, reminds me a bit of Moosehead now that I think about it.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 blankboy (5152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 11, 2006
Bottle. Pours a clear, very bubbly pale gold with an average size diminishing white head. Decent simple aroma of yeast, malt and hops with some hints of fruit -- thankfully no skunkyness or other horrid smells associated with many macros. Malty flavour, some grain and light hops -- slightly watery but I’ve had worse. Light to medium bodied. It’s mediocre but it’s certainly better then many of the other "buck-a-beers".
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 pintbypint (1975) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 29, 2005
341ml brown bottle. Poured a very light straw colour. Head is composed of large soapy bubbles, slightly clingy lace. Collapses rather quickly. Slightly floral aroma, touches of fruit. Light body, tingly cabonation. Flavour combines light fruit notes, floral/orange hop taste. Disapointing weak finish, watery and dryish. Pretty straightforward macro Canadian ale.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 RaphaelN (195) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 16, 2006
Passable beer. What do you expect? It’s a 24 for 24. White head, not too bad a flavour for a beer of this calibre. Yeasty with hints of malt, and a decent amount of flavour. Aroma was a little fruity. Not as watery as most cheap beers. I would drink it again if I had to, but would probably never buy.

Nice beer, very cheap for the higher alcohol. not a beer I have often but I will buy this from time to time
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (2353) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2013
341ml Bottle: BBD 31 Jul 2013. Drank in my Berlin hotel room on 25 Feb 2013 (don’t ask!).
It’s a Lager: clear golden, bright and clean looking, usual white head.
Grainy nose and taste: typical International Lager/Pilsner without any interesting or different attributes to the thousands of others out there.
Nothing wrong with it: just your usual, unusual Lager/Pilsner.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 lowg (146) - Scarborough, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 15, 2006
Bottle, had at my bro’s - one of the beers left over from his World Cup party. Pours a typical golden with an average diminishing head. Aroma was kinda bready. Taste was harsh sweet malt at first, very little hops in the finish. For some reason it got better after a while, the harshness went away. Go figure. Not a bad beer for the price, slightly below average though.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 yarry (497) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 30, 2006
341ml bottle, 5.5% a/v
Average yellow color with a small white head. Grainy and yeasty aroma like a rising bread before baking. Malty sweet with a slight hop aftertaste. Almost tastes like hard liquor when you take a big sip, but only briefly. Not a bad wobbly pop, good as far as the value beers go.
