COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
J.R. Lager is the rock in the James Ready Beer Family. Itís a well-balanced brew thatís always there for you whether youíre at home or in a bar. It gets itís pleasant herbal note from a special Hallertau hop. Hallertau, tough for the tongue to say but awesome for the tongue to taste.

Not bad really. It holds its own compared to the big brands. If you donít want excitement but want a cheap 12 pack - go for it.

355 ml can from the Beer Store. Pours a clear, light golden colour with modest-sized, reasonably lasting white head. Aroma is sweet grains with some gentle corn notes. Flavour is sweet and grainy with some corn presence and just a hint of grass. Lightish body. Weak but lots of worse pale lagers out there.

Can from NB Liquor. Was expecting more from this beer. Very disappointed. Pours a clear yellow colour with a medium white head. Not to sure what itís tasting, but itís not good. Skip this one.

8-pack from The Beer Store. Pours a pale golden colour with a big frothy head that lasts quite a while and gives out dirty lacing. Malty nose with corn notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Mild malt taste with more corn showing up in the finish. The hop is very close to little. Still, this a notch above most macro lagers, which is good for a cheap lager.

Bottle 341 ml
Aroma plain malty base , tad green with faint hint of hops. Fairly clean but also felt to be washed out.
Appearance clean straight golden look with lighter white top.
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied with thinner walls. Fell of barley, slight cellar notes. Thinner with slight leaf green hints. Straight golden lager. Thinner finish.

355ml can. I was really hoping someone else would add this, especially now that I find out it is at the Beer Store in Ontario, and not just NB. Super pale yellow colour. Very little aroma, thin malt sweetness. Taste is sickening sweet malt, then some grassy hops and toasted grain. Plate is not too thin, but a little sticky. Left me a little gassy. Overall, not disgusting when cold enough. Thought this might just be another Moose product rebranded, but I think it might actually be different.
