kempicus (146), Wellington, New Zealand Feb 16, 2008 Didn’t realise this was supposed to be an American pale when i tried it at the brewhouse! It’s actually quite a good beer, more like a fruity best bitter than an APA great zesty nose without much body or flavour
bluevegie (1708), Perth, Australia Mar 13, 2008 Tried on tap at JS Brewhouse Sydney. Pale golden body with short head. Tastes a little flat, a little fruity (grapefruit) ,unfiltered and yeasty.Still I knocked it back easy enough. MBison (348), Southern Highlands, Australia Mar 4, 2008 Draught at the brewhouse (pint). Arrived a orangey bronze with a small, creamy, white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of toffee malts, creamy caramel, floral hops, lightly burnt butter and a touch of marmalade. Flavor was a decent bitterness with light toffee, sweet malts, faint orange citrus, hints of apricots and a bitter metallic finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a watery texture, dry mouthfeel and a good finish. bozoNZ (360), Christchurch, New Zealand May 31, 2007 Tasting tray at brewpub Pale straw cloudy - almost like mashed pears. Milky thin head. Soft short bitterness, would probabky be a reasonable beer but the look just kills it for me. Stew41 (844), Caulfield, Australia Mar 16, 2006 Light golden, poor head but good lacing. Hop driven nose, mild tang. Citrus, tangy palate, quite different. Finishes fresh and crisp with underlying bitterness but certaintly lacks depth.
