4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2012 On tap at the brewery. Very tasty, and well balanced. Aromas of caramel, apricot, and grass. Taste has a sweet start, with bitterness taking over quickly for a long finish. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Amber, with a frothy white head.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fantastic balance between lightly sweet malts and herbal hops, on the drier side of the scale, with a juicy finish, a fantastic session ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
i was the only patron in the brewhouse on a sunday afternoon and the bardude said this was the go. the highwayman held me up for about 10 minutes and took some of my loose change. sorry about that. murky amber, lemon rind and toffee aroma, some buttery malt presence with medium grapefruit bitterness but seeming to get more bitter with each sip. hopefully if the sydney franchise of jsbrewhouse ever get their arses into gear and get an actual brewing license so they can be an actual brewhouse, they will brew something like this

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark amber with a small lasting head.
Nose shows massive toasty/nutty malt and caramel alongside a heap of earthy, resinous hops... nice!
Similar hops and malt follow as flavours, although the hops take a more dominant role with big resinous notes and a pronounced bitterness.
Carbonation is a bit high for these flavours.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewhouse.Pours an amber red with a small slightly tan head. Low carbonation. Equal malt aroma and flavour as is expected with red ales, yet a profound citrus hop finish that adds a nice touch to this red. Some floral aromas and flavours. The carbonation needs fixing, but otherwise great.
