James Squire India Pale Ale is made with only Munich and pale malt, so it brews to a rich, golden colour, with a robust, malty character. Its earthy floral aromas are a result of dry-hopping with English Fuggles hops added in generous amounts directly to the maturation tanks. This India Pale Ale is handcrafted in the traditional style. It is higher in alcohol, effervescent and has a characteristic highly hopped bitterness with a crisp finish on the palate.

I really like this one. Not so overpowering as some English versions of IPA, but it stii has a nice hoppy bitterness. Dow not have a deep colour like some IPA’s and is really easy to drink. This can fool some as it still packs a kick at 5.6% abv, so be warned, a session on this can be a little dangerous as I have found. Even so, it is good to find something drinkable like this that is available at the local bottle shop. Cheers folks.

Probada en botella de 345 ml. IPA de moderado amargor, fácil de tomar. Para ser Australiana está más que aprobada. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle. Well made, more malt flavour than you get with most IPA’s, could be hoppier but still a good beer.

Bottle 0,345l. Pours a golden amber colour, thin off-white foam head. Aroma of caramel, orange and toffee. Taste is sweet malt caramel with a floral orangey hop tangy bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

OK. Aroma and taste are floral, a bit of earth and a good dose of sweetness which, after a while, became almost blackcurrant or maybe blueberry. Too much sweet and not enough bitter for me.

Bottle (345ml) @ Menzies Hotel Sydney. Copper-brown coloured beer with a small but stable white head that leaves some lace rings on the glass. Aroma provides dominant caramel malts plus some earthy flowery English hops which is transferred to the tongue to produce well balanced English style IPA. Finish is mild-to-moderately bitter. Palate is medium bodied with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. OK.

Haha, a lovely colour with coppery amber notes and some white head on the top. Good clarity and a few pings of carbonation. Biscuity maltiness abounds with golden syrup and lovely sweet grain. The flavour is still sweet but is balanced with generous fruity tart and stonefruit. That said, I would like a dose more hop to lengthen the finish, but I rather like this beer.

345ml bottle into pint glass. Spicy savoury nose. A bit smoky even. Copper beer with small lasting white head. A few tiny bubbles. Hoppy bitter finish which lingers. It’s OK.

Pleasant aroma when poured, mostly malts and something nutty but difficult to place. Pours a lovely dark amber in the glass with a light frothy head that thins but lasts. Some lacing. Feels light in the mouth with good carbonation. Taste is a refreshing bitter flavour with hops being prominent. I could drink this all day in the sun.

Pours orange to brown color with a medium head. Aroma of honey, spices with a floral, slightly malty and sour taste. A bit too much carbonation for my taste. Not my kind of IPA.

Poured from the bottle. A bit sharp at first, but quite nice after a few sips. Seems to be missing something compared to my preferred IPAs from Mash and Brewdog.
