Ungstrup (29224) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2006
An orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy, but also with a light note of grass. The flavor is sweet with light notes of both caramel and grass, leading to a dry bitter end. Somewhat boring.

(Bottle 34,5 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with an off-white head. Discreet aroma of citrus and caramel. Fairly light body with a subdued caramel sweetness and a touch of citrus. Discreet hoppiness. Pleasant drinking. Courtesy of highlandlad. 160806

OK. It’s not that I dislike this beer, it’s just that I couldn’t find anything to get over excited about it. I find, overall, JS beers to be massively overrated and this was no exception.

Lilith (242) - Santiago, CHILE - APR 28, 2006
Bottle Flat golden/amber color, white head that disappears quickly but leaves a fair lacing. Its aroma is fruity with notes of peach and pineapple. The flavor is hoppy and fruity but a bit bitter. The aftertaste is short and bitter, too. Its body is light with a smooth dry texture.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2006 Pours a clear and sparkling golden color with a medium, white, creamy and lingering head that leaves a decent lacing. Aroma is fruity and hoppy with strong notes of overripe apricots, cider and flowers. Good. Flavor is bitter with a good amount of hops though shy in the beginning. It becomes better towards the end. There are traces of tropical fruits. Short astringent finish, it leaves some aftertaste. This beer is light and very refreshing, almost like a good premium lager but with more taste. Texture is watery. Very simple palate, this Golden Ale lacks complexity. Alcohol is well-hidden. Decent dry and crisp finish. It’s a highly drinkable thirst quencher with fine flavor.

Thanks a lot to <a href=http://ratebeer.com/View-User-7208.htm>Sul for providing this Pale Ale.

Well this was an unexpected surprise. The marketing has advertised this as the James Squire guzzling beer which had me thinking, here we go they are aiming for a VB. Instead it is a nice light beer with clean malts and hops that goes down nicely without being too sweet or hoppy. perfect summer bbq beer.
