I don’t get why this is so low. Great copper colour with a thick white head. Nice aroma of resh hops. Taste is spicy and resiny with a nice malt presence in the background. A little over cabronated which detracts a bit from the flavour. hops sort of die off as it warms.

Keg - Newport Arms, Newport, Sydney. Poured a clear, pale amber with a thick, lasting white head leaving a good lacework. Gentle mid fruit and citrus characters, a touch of grain on the nose and solid biscuity pale malt characters. Light to medium body, medium carbonation and a medium length finish.

Keg at James Squire Brewhouse @ Waterfront City, Melbourne, Victoria. Hazy amber, small head. Fruity nose. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Ripe fruit and grass. Salty finish. Dull.

Bottles don’t seem to be too friendly to the JS beers, at least here at this hotel. This one is the best of three so far. Poured at a good temperature with a nice, foamy, thick, short lived, cream-colored head and a bit of lace. Aroma had hints of resin and citrus, malt. Flavor’s like nose, tang is in front, followed by a bit o bitter and a tad o sweet. Body’s a touch soft and not to the advantage. Finish has some medicinal flavs that last a bit.

Had this one many times on my travel in Australia. An easy and smooth thirst quencer, really refreshing flavour of grass, citrus and some light caramelly touches. Light bitter finish. Light body, without feeling watery. Overall, a great beer in the sun, that you can get anywhere here.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 Quite bland but not too bad, just bland and maybe a little watery. Mild flavours of hops, drink it cold. Quite seasonable, just finished one in fact.

Poured a clear golden amber colour with a one- to two-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced with good sudsy rings. Aroma of malt sweetness and a trace of hops. Taste of sweet malt followed by a trace of citrus and a nice mid-range hops bitterness. Light body. Smooth, light and very refreshing

On tap at The Chase. Tasteless, dry and lager-like. Smells like a pool hall. Heavy carbonation. Drinkable if you're very thirsty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from National Brewery Centre, Burton. Pale copper beer with medium head. Aroma of yeast and malts. Taste is malts, hops and a little earthy yeast. More like a bitter than a Golden ale. OK beer.
