3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear light orange-amber color with 1 inch head that fades fast but leaves nice lacing. Aroma is pine/spruce, yeast. Taste is piney/sprucy, fruity, citrus, some cereal qualities. Texture is thin and soapy. Light to moderate bitterness. This is a good session beer but a bit on the fruity side.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottles don’t seem to be too friendly to the JS beers, at least here at this hotel. This one is the best of three so far. Poured at a good temperature with a nice, foamy, thick, short lived, cream-colored head and a bit of lace. Aroma had hints of resin and citrus, malt. Flavor’s like nose, tang is in front, followed by a bit o bitter and a tad o sweet. Body’s a touch soft and not to the advantage. Finish has some medicinal flavs that last a bit.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Had this one many times on my travel in Australia. An easy and smooth thirst quencer, really refreshing flavour of grass, citrus and some light caramelly touches. Light bitter finish. Light body, without feeling watery. Overall, a great beer in the sun, that you can get anywhere here.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 Quite bland but not too bad, just bland and maybe a little watery. Mild flavours of hops, drink it cold. Quite seasonable, just finished one in fact.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a clear golden amber colour with a one- to two-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced with good sudsy rings. Aroma of malt sweetness and a trace of hops. Taste of sweet malt followed by a trace of citrus and a nice mid-range hops bitterness. Light body. Smooth, light and very refreshing

On tap at The Chase. Tasteless, dry and lager-like. Smells like a pool hall. Heavy carbonation. Drinkable if you're very thirsty.

2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
330ml bottle bought at TASTE in Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.
Clear deep honey amber colour; Very thin head and soapy white foam which last for about 30 seconds; Minimal lacing with lively soft carbonation;
Pretty fragrant aroma of ale malt, grapefruit, honey, light pineapple, and light floral; Light sweet taste of ale malt, with molasses, molasses, very light wet cardboard, biscuits, citrus, very light dry bitterness and grass;Mid to light body, thin to watery palate; Mouth feel is pretty basic ale malt, very biscuity and dry with little fruit taste. Quite monotone all the way. Very light wet cardboard creeps up as the beer warms; Hoppiness is focused on light grapefruity and floral nose, light to faint lime and grass taste with no liquorices, and mildly detectable bitterness for an empty finish; Dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: This one has promising looks and quite fruity aroma, but its taste has no variety and has some wet cardboard to ruin the party. Below average, not a bad one but not recommended, either.
