The recipe for the James-Younger was created by Jason Markkula of the Bank Beer Company. Specifically designed for the 2011 DJJD festival we will be featuring a unique Rye Ale. Brewed by Brau Brothers Brewing Go, LLC in Lucan, Mn. Bank Brewing Co’s newest release 1876 is American Rye ale that is medium body beer with a dry crisp finish. The three hop additions along with a forth dry hop addition give the beer a pleasant bitterness that is a nice floral citrus finish balanced by the spiciness of the rye. The spicy flavor from the malted rye really comes through with nice roasted notes from the chocolate rye. 1876 is truly an American Rye
