On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear burnt orange with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, light fruits, and bready malt. Flavor of sweet malt, bready malts. Not too sweet although sweet malt is the dominant flavor. Very drinkable and tasty. A surprise winner for me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 holdenn (1841) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 18, 2009
On tap at the brewery. Pours an orange brown color with a white head. Citrus fruity nose with orange. Lightly sweet flavors. Slightly watery malt with a light bitterness. Ok alt, not as malty as others.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BBB63 (4939) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - OCT 10, 2007
Tap: Clean golden hue with a fading lace and some spotty lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and floral hops, apple and light spice esters, and a biscuity note. The taste starts with a twangy citric and herbal hop character with a light bready background. Mild hop spice finish. The mouth feel is refreshing and lively. Nicely balanced, pretty accurate for the style, enjoyable surprise.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 gws57 (1231) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2007
Had this one on draught as part of the sampler at the brewpub in Ludington, Michigan. Clear, medium brown pour with a hazy white head, very mild and malty, like the English Mild very sessionable. Good.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ogglethorp (915) - Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2007
On tap. Pours a medium brown color with a very thin beige head. Aroma is light toast, bread, caramel. Flavor is toast, malt, light hops. Palate is medium-light bodied, mildly carbonated, finishes on the sweet side. Nothing to write home about but drinkable.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Silphium (2711) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 29, 2007
On tap at the brewery. I was not a fan of this one at all. Medium brown body, thin buff head. Light, grassy nose with subtle breads and toast. Thin, wispy malt body delivered little malt depth, and finished with a shot of grassy, bitter hops. Poorly balanced. There was really nothing here to grip.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hezron (604) - Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 6, 2005
Almost fruity aroma with some slight toffee. Fruity, toffee, caramel grassy (hallertau?) hops in the finish. Sweet, no bitterness. Amber color without a head. Light body, crisp, watery and refreshing.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Tmoney99 (6892) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2005
Draft at brew pub. Clear amber color with medium white head. Aroma was a traditional tone of light malt and hops. Flavor and body was medium with a refreshing medium finish. Cold aging appears to be the style.
