BBB63 (3681), La Porte, Indiana, USA Oct 26, 2007 Updated: Oct 29, 2007Growler bought the day of it’s release at the brewery: A coppery brown hue topped by a lasting frothy head and left very nice lace upon my weizen glass. The aroma has notes of caramel, walnut, biscuity malts, mild banana and clove esters, some notes of wheat and bubblegum too. The taste is a nicely balanced hybrid of soft sweet dunkel and a fruity and slightly spicy weizen. Neither aspect dominated the other and made this a nicely quaffable brew. Not a great amount of complexity but enough to keep you interested. Worth a try but it is strictly a fall seasonal. Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 13, 2006 Draft at Jamesport. Poured light brown with an average frothy off-white head that lasted. Moderate sweet toasted malt aroma. Medium body. Solid sweet toasted malt and spice flavor with a light bitter finish of long duration. Well done.
