Bottle- Pours a dark amber color with a decent tan head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and a hint of caramel sweetness. Taste of roasted malt with some caramel sweetness and a bit of nut flavor in the background. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, smooth with a decent balance. Fairly average brown ale but still good for a couple.

From a 330ml bottle on 14/8/2011.Pours a very cloudly dark amber with almost no head. Has quite a distinct caramel toffee malt aroma. More caramel and toffee sweetness is evident in the flavour, but the most prominent feature is a strong almost burnt, roasty bitterness. Reading the other reviews on here makes me wonder whether Iím drinking the same beer. A good ale with quite a bit of character.

Bottle from Warners at the Bay. Pours a clear copper/brown with a small beige head. Aroma was a light roasted caramel and toffee. Taste was a slightly hop and nut combo, with a light roasted flavour. Not very impressive, but drinkable i suppose.

Thick brown colour, with a small beige head that dissapears quickly. Roasted toffee elements to the aroma, which follow through to the flavour. Roasted flavour lasts to the after taste. Plesant beer.

Bottle. Pours copper with a large fluffy beige head that settles to an inch. High bead. Very modest aroma of a little cereal and caramel. Taste has some crystal malt sweetness and a fair bit of spicy hop bitterness. Spicy finish. The maltís a little simple and subdued and thereís too much carbonation, but itís OK.

Lovely mahogony color. Huge head. Filled the whole glass very quickly. Not much on the aroma front. Perhaps a little malt but not much else. Tasted of a little malt and a little yeast though overall very bland. Good mouthfell. A little fizzy and some malt sweetness. OK . A bit lacking with not much happening at all.

Little aroma at all. Minimal head that dissipated almost immediately. Strong malty flavours which are balanced well by the bitterness. A decent session beer.
