3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The nice gents at Purvis provided me with this one. Expectations were high given the ABV and promise of a hellish hop hit. It pours well and keepa a head, nose is nice and spicy with a defininte hop aroma escaping. the taste is also the mouth pucker you want in a good IPA. No lack of balls here, I hope it performs well and keeps its quality.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
i canít quite work this one out alongside the breweryís other products... itís like a mediocre country/rock band put out an one-off doom-metal album that happens to be really good. perhaps they should change their other brews to more beastly ways. i am getting a bit bored of this style but they do it well. enough biscuity malt to balance out the toffee, not too thick and sweet but still certainly full enough to take the bitterness, a good mix of hops that covers the usual grapefruit and tropical stuff but also some more goldings-like spicy/leafy elements, bitter and resinous for sure, but not complete smokerís toothpaste. well constructed. a bit concentrated tasting though, rather than an endless vista of flavour unrolling across your palate itís like one short but very powerful hit.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
[Bottle] Pours hazy brown with a small off-white head. Big aroma of pumpkin bread and a strange grassiness. The malt really works for it. Taste is similar with a solid bitterness to balance out the malt. Medium thin mouthfeel, smooth, and has a long malty finish. Very nice IPA, and the pumpkin bread aroma really works for it.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Brewery. Served amhazy dark copper color with a good head that fades slowly with nice lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus, some caramel and bit of grain in the background. Taste has an initial nip of pine, then some caramel sweetness with some grain. Nice bitterness throughout and a dry finish. Medium body, crisp, smooth and refreshing. Nicely balanced. An enjoyable beer, a nice Australian IPA. good for a few.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
With a veil of sweet toffee malt, this is an excellent, big, fat hopmonster IPA and one of the better Aussie micros in any style. A long dry quenching hop finish caps off a well-rounded beast of a beer. Jamiesons was always a bit touch and go in my book, and itís great to see theyíve come up with such a winner. A stonking IPA and a great beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle shared by OSLO) Pours a hazy dark gold with a white head. Skyview and BDR were right on with the pumpernickel scent, and this makes me wonder if this was brewed with rye. Additional scents are mint, light pineapple, and a bit floral to boot. The taste is grapefruit, pineapple, caramel, ambrosia salad, that finishes out on a very astringent note that reminds me of a first-flush Darjeeling. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Thanks Al!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a nice deep orange with a small off white head. Aroma is about resiny hops and some malt sweetness. Quite fulled bodied, the sweet malts dominate originally wth some caramel. Then the hops kick in. Great well balanced beer.
