*Bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark brown. Lovely roasted malt flavour. Smoke, liquorice, a hint of salt. Balanced sweetness, very pleasant. I’d enjoy a barrel aged version, or perhaps a stonger edition.

50 cl bottle, bought at while back. Likely ordered by the bottle to my local Systembolaget. Seems to be available at three stores. BB April 2014, sampled on November 1, 2013.
Clear dark reddish brown color, big fluffy lasting tan head. Very subtle nose, light sweet, the faintest hints of smoke, a sprinkle of fruits - dark and dried, some notes of what is likely to be alcohol as well in the scent. Smells mellow, laid back, not bad at all but also doesn’t like to speak up or be noticed. Sweet, bread, grainy, light roasted, some alcohol, fruity taste. Thankfully the taste takes up way more room than the scent did! Hints of mineral, light tart, some Trocadero making its way through in the taste as well. Mineral, roasted, hints of coffee, soem charred notes in the aftertaste. However there comes the Trocadero in the aftertaste as well, what is that, like some sort of soft sweet/candy like estery chemical thing, unnatural flavor component. A bit like char coal and ashes mixed with pop, when trying for subtle but noticeable, but overdid the camp fire notes when the coal dropped into your pop glass. Rather full mouthfeel, some CO2 that sticks out, but not too much. Medium bitterness. Smell is way too laid back, taste do get through a whole lot more, but have some weird notes that I feel should not be there for my personal preference.

Franzen (269) - SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2013
Bottle from systembolaget
Aroma has a typical roasted sourness that usually is found in porters. There is plenty of burnt aroma and some aroma of wet wood. There are aswell hints of chocolate and some alcohol in the aroma.
It pours black with a bit too quickly dissipating beige foam.
Nice roasted burnt flavour rounded of with a nice bitterness. There is some alcohol aswell in the taste but not much,
Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. It is to carbonated for the style.
It is a nice competent stout although not extraordinary

Mörkbrun öl med stort smutsvitt skum. Arom och smak: ´Mjölkchoklad, nötter, kaffe och röda äpplen. Mjuk beska, fin sötma. Lätt kolsyrig, men fortfarande torr, munkänsla. En högst njutbar öl.

Smaker av nøtter, mild sjokolade og brent malt. Et lite preg av røyk og vanilje? En fair hverdagsstout.

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk.
Pours deep clear brown with a small, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has chewy malts, nutty, light chocolate, softly roasted. Medium carbonation, fine dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good roasted malts, dark chocolate, softly metallic. Dry and roasted finish with good, lingering malty bitterness.

7% bottle courtesy of Omhper, thanks! A coca-cola pour reveals itself to be almost black with reddish tinges in the glass. The sweet atoms of chocolate is subtle but there. The body is slightly watery but the taste is quite good; dark chocolate, oatmeal then some roastiness in the finish withaybe hints of vanilla. An easy drinking go to kind of stout for everyday use.

(Bottle). Aroma of dark roasted malt, smoke, caramel malt and fruit. Clearly sour flavor of roasted malt and fruit, including banana. Way too sour for my taste
