500ml bottle via djoeye, shared with Finn. Solid beige, bubbly head. Deep mahogany coloured body. Rather subdued aroma of dark fruits and earthy malts. Sweet malty flavours, ash, earth and caramel. Roasted endnotes. Velvety mouthfeel. True to the style, more or less (Tromsø 05.03.2014).

gnoff (7757) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2013
50 cl bottle, bought at while back. Likely ordered by the bottle to my local Systembolaget. Seems to be available at three stores. BB April 2014, sampled on November 1, 2013.
Clear dark reddish brown color, big fluffy lasting tan head. Very subtle nose, light sweet, the faintest hints of smoke, a sprinkle of fruits - dark and dried, some notes of what is likely to be alcohol as well in the scent. Smells mellow, laid back, not bad at all but also doesn’t like to speak up or be noticed. Sweet, bread, grainy, light roasted, some alcohol, fruity taste. Thankfully the taste takes up way more room than the scent did! Hints of mineral, light tart, some Trocadero making its way through in the taste as well. Mineral, roasted, hints of coffee, soem charred notes in the aftertaste. However there comes the Trocadero in the aftertaste as well, what is that, like some sort of soft sweet/candy like estery chemical thing, unnatural flavor component. A bit like char coal and ashes mixed with pop, when trying for subtle but noticeable, but overdid the camp fire notes when the coal dropped into your pop glass. Rather full mouthfeel, some CO2 that sticks out, but not too much. Medium bitterness. Smell is way too laid back, taste do get through a whole lot more, but have some weird notes that I feel should not be there for my personal preference.

Bottle 500ml @ fonefan
Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, chocolate, caramel and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a slightly warm and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

larsga (6177) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 9, 2013
Small offwhite head. Clear amber body with strong carbonation. Earthy funky barnyard aroma lingonberry and oranges aroma. Dry-sweetish, and faintly acidic, earthy funky barnyard taste with cow dung and salty lingonberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy salty chemical lingonberry aftertaste with herbal floral oranges notes. Wow. This is pretty powerful stuff, flavour-wise. Must be brewed with brett. (0.25l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

*Bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark brown. Lovely roasted malt flavour. Smoke, liquorice, a hint of salt. Balanced sweetness, very pleasant. I’d enjoy a barrel aged version, or perhaps a stonger edition.

Svesse (6065) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 1, 2012
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 28 Sep 2012. 7.0%) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Roasted, malty nose with dark chocolate, cacao, black coffee and a touch of liquorice. Roasted, malty taste with notes of dark chocolate, cacao, dark rye bread, a touch of liquorice and a fairly dry finish with a generous cacao bitterness. More than medium body, fairly dry. Well balanced and tasty. Very nice.

Bottle. Chestnut, cappuccino tan lace. Roasted sugar, liquorice and herbal hop aroma. Sugar, malt roast, smoke, chocolate and licorice notes, light citric and herbal retronasal. Medium full body, sparkly light on the front of the palate, solid on the exit - the brew feels a lot like like a typical scandinavian spicy licorice sweet.
