Sampled from draught at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2005.
My first beer of this years festival and what a start it was!! Dark brown with a small tan head. Dark roasted malt aroma along with chocolate and liquorice. Very full and nice with a good complexity. Sharp and biding flavor of roasted malt and liquorice with a tone of berries. A bit alcoholic, but the alcohol is well integrated. Bitter finish. A very tasty and interesting porter that I hope to see on bottle one day!

Pure black colour, decent beige head. Hoppy, yeasty roasted malt nose. Jämtlands house character. Flavour from chocolate and coffee. Somewhat fruity and caramelly finish.

500 ml bottle. Dark ruby brown with lasting tan head. Aroma nice and smooth, of dark malts, coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is smooth and silky, dark roasted malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee notes and tangy hints. Finish is long and nice with liquorice and dark chocolate. Very nice

Keg @ Stockholm Beer Festival 2005 Rating # 600
Very dark and very aromatic with chocolate, (hard) toasted bread, some vanila, some red berries and other stuff. Rich head. Palate is full bodied, Flavours it got plenty. As with the aroma lots of stuf and a dry finnish even if the beer itself is on the sweet side. The alco content could not be tasted in most of the samples (some though, did have this off flavour for some unknown reason.) A new favourite from my favourite brewery. Hope they will continue this velvety Baltic Porter. (No plans at present)

On draught at Plain Kitchen, Göteborg. Black, with a tint of red. Light brown head. Loads of toasty licorice in aroma and the familiar house yeast character. Chewy, fiery mouthfeel. Licoricy backbone with a sweetness, that’s perfectly balanced by a robust bitterness. Might as well be taken for an Imperial Stout. Great beer!
