Bottle. Hoppy, very dusty aroma. Also fruity, roasted malts. Almost black colour with a red hue. Small unstable, light brown head. Very malty and quite roasted flavour, but still mild. Aftertaste has some roasted barley bitterness. Quite nice, semi-smooth mouthfeel.

(on bottle)Clear, very dark brown with a beige head. very sweet, almost cloying molassses and canesugared sent. watery and burnt taste with a coffeeish finish. The best part of this beer seems to be the very long finish, with notes of rom and raisins

Pours dark brown mahogany, with a thick beige head. Hoppy, buttery nose. Smooth, rounded flavour from dark chocolate, toffee and hops. Great bitterness in the finish. Full bodied.

Almost black color with a small head. Body is medium to light. Taste is coffee and roasted malts with a bit of dare I say hoppiness? Somehow, it’s just a bit tart. Carbonation is a bit crisp but the flavors don’t meld all that well.

Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - APR 9, 2005
Bottle. Dark brown with bubbly beige head. Packed to the brim! Malt, coffee, dark chocolate, leather, vegemite, chalky (do not want to steal duff’s ashtray/charcoal - but that’s more it!), dry and bitter finish. Full, fluffy(?) mouthfeel. I love it - must be one of the best bottom-fermented beer I’ve ever had.
