A very good Shwartz, thanks to Abusmaster. With roasted graininess and creaminess, and a moderate malty aroma and good laciness. Brown with white head.Secondary chocolate and coffee/postum. A great session at 5%. Smooth drinking. Medium mouthfeel.

50cL bottle, courtesy of omhper. Thanks, Per! Pours a very deep dark mahogany color; bright off-white head with creamy, medium-sized bubbles (almost like milk froth) with textured, thin lacing. Plenty of nougat and lightly roasted malts in the aroma; cocoa powder and chocolate; sweet without being sticky. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: plenty of cocoa and milk chocolate and nougat; a warm vanilla note permeates the mid-palate, with a bready note, and slight citrus adding some nice acidity. Lengthy, doughy and vanilla finish; ends quite soft (think: cloud).

An old friend that has been absent for a while (at least in Stockholm). A huge beer. Big creamy head, off-white. Colour of deep read wine, almost black. Citrus aroma with malts lurking underneath. A lot of malt in the body with some caramel icing on top. Medium-small carbonation. A nicely balanced bitter ending. Delicious mouth-feel and entirely drinkable. As I said, an old friend.

Almost opaque dark ruby, creamy expresso head. Aroma has roast, cold coffee and hints of hops. Medium to full bodied, lots of roast with hints of sugar. Bitter finish. There is just something plastic in the palate which prevents this to being an excellent.

Bottle. Hoppy, very dusty aroma. Also fruity, roasted malts. Almost black colour with a red hue. Small unstable, light brown head. Very malty and quite roasted flavour, but still mild. Aftertaste has some roasted barley bitterness. Quite nice, semi-smooth mouthfeel.

Poured a reddish mahogany color with a thin, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoke, caramel, and roasted malts. Chocolate, light roast, toffee, some citrus hoppiness, and a light bitterness in the finish.

Uhhhh Secret Santa Jonas - that was over yummie, thanks a lot: Nice dark brown color with some red bling bling. Small layer of a fizzy head. Nice malt, caramel and toffee nose. Toasted malt taste with caramel and nicely spicing up traces of coffee and cardamon. Dry finish - very nice.

Almost black with a brown head, fantastic lacing. Aroma is very much dominated by roast malts, but has a creamy chocolate smell to it too. The body is quite sweet, and again the flavour is driven by heavy roast malt. There is also some coffee and brown sugar flavours. Carbonation was light. Finish is a little bittersweet.
