Dark brown. Roasty nose, lots of chocolate and licorice. Wonderful flavour, unbelievably yummy. Richly hoppy with notes of chocolate and slightly licoricy.

Man tager vad man haver.

Bottle. Clear chestnut, almost black, with a big tanned compact head that leaves a crater in the glass. Big sweet malty aroma with lots of chocolate, dark bread, syrup, butter, some sweet licorice and nice grassy hops. Taste is sweet and rich with chocolate, crisp bread, caramel, coffee, berries, vanilla and a nice grassy bitterness. Medium to bigger body with soft carbonation. Very rich and nice and, like someone said, almost porter like.

Bottle @ Grövelsjöns Fjällstation. An old friend that has been absent for a while (at least in Stockholm). A huge beer. Big creamy head, off-white. Colour of deep read wine, almost black. Citrus aroma with malts lurking underneath. A lot of malt in the body with some caramel icing on top. Medium-small carbonation. A nicely balanced bitter ending. Delicious mouth-feel and entirely drinkable. As I said, an old friend.

Pours pitch black with a light brown head leaving lace. Aroma is roasted, malty, hay, smokey and fruity. Big roasted body; acidy, fresh, hoppy, fruity and slightly sweet flavor. Finishes bitter roasted.
