Big Bottle share at Craft Islington. Thanks to Chris and Ruth. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is thin and dry, decent fine carbonation. Weird sweet and sour malts, some ripe floralness. Light dry finish. Quite odd.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"Vintage" bottle at Craft Islington, thanks to Chris & Ruth. It pours clear deep golden - amber with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, stewed orange, candy, lemonade, limeade, bread and melon. The taste is bitter - sweet, sticky, white bread, grain, orange, tinned peach and slight oiliness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent for its advancing years.

En stærk (ja i Sverige er de altid stærke... ), med smag af humle, alkohol og noget lakrids. Den er meget bitter i eftersmagen.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
When pouring the beer, you get a completely clear golden yellow / red beer with white foam. The foam has small bubbles and stay a while. The scents are fine. Good hops tones with a little burnt elements. A little fruity scent with fragrance dough. You feel the taste of hops in pretty fast. The taste has some sweet bread flavor and malt. Many earthy tones, a little alcohol. Fine robust bitterness with spicy flavors, such as citrus and some pepper notes. Quite a nice balance that probably develop in the bottle.

The name Hell must from the brewery’s side certainly turn to the deeper place where there is very hot. The label has a shield with clear signs of its associations with the devil; horns and tail! If we look into the German-style lager world, the name Hell clearly expect a golden lager, so with the mindset is the name actually chosen. Whether Jämtland have used one or another philosophy at the naming, this is all a Swedish lager. Foam is limited. Lovely hoppy aroma, almost like a British IPA or perhaps an ESB. The taste is flowers, light fruit species and good solid hops are lengthy. The finish is dry, and it is truly a nice lager which is very high in my conception of how a pilsner should taste. It is especially the hoppy aftertaste that emphasizes the perfection.

500mll bottle from Systembolaget. Clear dark golden, fluffy long lasting head. Nothing particularly stands out in the aroma, grass, citrus, white bread. Medium carbonated with a smooth pleasant mouthfeel. The taste is sweet fruit, ripe red apple, citrus, grassy hops. Finish bitter with citrus peel.
