4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiulijn (10440) - Como, ITALY - SEP 13, 2002
Golden colour, nice perlage. At first, a boring lager aroma, but just after a very nice hop aroma appears, improving every minute. Very interesting flavor, quite rare for a bottled lager: dry but with a strong body; the first impression reveals the high hopping, only partially balanced by the malt, even of good quality. The palate is strong, far beyond the average, just too bitter in the (maybe a too long infusion), but the aromatic hop is remarkable, and the maltiness doesn’t hide too fast. I couldn’t stop drinking stuff like this, till now one of the best Scandinavian I had.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Schroppfy (2335) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - AUG 19, 2002
Very impressive. The cascade (and I’m betting one other kind, but I can’t pinpoint it) hops aroma and flavor are intense (alomost IPAish). This thing also has malt apparent, and is just an all around great beer. If you are a fan of Victory Prima Pil, seek this out.
Thanks Per!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 17, 2002
Dark amber color, the head is beige, the lace is adequate. Nose malt, sweet, caramel, and slightly floral. The beer begins sweet, the top medium, the finish is hop bitter, dry, lightly acidic, and does have a very long lasting bitter aftertaste, that I like. ’Thanks Per’

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jcalbi (378) - New Jersey, USA - APR 26, 2002
A very interesting beer. Very light reddish-gold color (very clear, not at all cloudy). Slightly sweet earthy, peaty aroma. The first taste is quite hoppy but it the finish drys out quite well. I wish they would market to the this to the U.S.. The name alone would draw in people to try this lager.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 omhper (15966) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2002
Golden coloured big firm head. Big very hopa romatic smell - loads of cascade in here. Medium dry, firm malty body, and very bitter finish. This lager tastes more like an American Pale Ale.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Slovaaak (9) - Järna, SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2002 does not count
This one is way too hoppy to be serious. You can have one, that’s it, or you’ll end up smelling like Chanel No5. Not a session beer.
