COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle from Systembolaget. Typical Jämtlands character in this seasonal offering - aroma of spice, seville oranges, chocolate and bitter roast. Noticeably sweeter than the year-round brews. Lots of liquorice and an annoying shampoo flavour that ruins the overall effect for me. Went well with a sweet cheddar cheese.

Bröd och torkade fikon i doften. Vattnig kropp..men en mycket trevlig ton av anis dyker upp i efterbeskan, Fin till påskägget!

Pours a cloudy dark amber. Rocky off white head that slowly fades. Malt caramel aroma. Flavor is malt, hop, grass, bits of roast and caramel. Finish is a bit dry and sweet with roast, hop, bits of malt and caramel. Medium bodied. Not a well rounded brew. There seems to be different flavors hitting you from all sides at times. I mean you get the malt sweetness, then a zap from the hop, then back to malt sweet. It is a okay brew, not offensive, but a bit to malty for me. This is close to being a pale ale.

Bottle. Pours copper with a large , beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, butter. Malts and caramel in the taste, some alcohol, pretty bitter finish. Medium body.

Pours orange brown with a 2 cm tan head. Aroma is a touch of roasted malt, red licorice, molasses, grass. Mouthfeel is smooth and has medium-high carbonation. Taste is bready malt, a bit of coffee, with a nice bitter finish. It’s a bit metallic and musty. A pretty average beer.

3 finger beige head that sinks to 1/2 finger, amber body. Nose: Butterscotch, cookies and toffee. Aroma: Butterscotch, cookies, toffee and apricot. Short ending with little bitterness. A little boring on its own, maybe it works with food?
