COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Jämtlands president is a bottom fermented beer in the style of a north German pilsener. The beer has a medium bitterness and nice aroma of Czechish hops."

A nice hoppy perfume aroma. An almost smoky palate. Hoppy flavour, though not as strong as the aroma.

Pale golden colored lager with beautiful strong head. Complex aroma of hops and spices. Palate is uniquely balanced: citric, fruity and peppery. A lesson of making a pils for German brewers.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2003 Golden color. Saaz hops in aroma with some bready notes. tastes very smooth for being a pils. Some grassy, fruity and slightly sweet. Well-balanaced malty finish with some refreshing notes of minerals.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2004 Bottled. Golden colour. Flowery and hoppy aroma, with notes of citrus! The flavour is not as overwhelming as the aroma - spicy, flowery with a medium dry finish. Medium bitter.

Pale gold super-clear colour under a large, coarsish bubbled, short lasting head. Floral scented hoppy and faint spice aroma. Light bodied with zingy, mouth filling carbonate and mainly bitter palate. Light fruity spicey house character flavoured start and middle. Medium dry refreshing finish. An excellent beer for a pils with loads of taste and plenty of character.

Very blond with a big head. Flowery hoppy aroma. A very complex taste with plenty of everything, flower, fruit, spice and hop.

I think they put up a brick with this one, Jamtlands other stuff is so good, but this was a bit of a let down. Flowery aroma (weak though), sweetish, with a little bit of malt and hops, but quite timid.

Pale yellow. Citrusy hop aroma. Medium bodied, sweet, flowery. Medium bitterness. Good, especially for being the mainstream product of the brewery, but north German pils is not what I would call it.
