"Jämtlands president is a bottom fermented beer in the style of a north German pilsener. The beer has a medium bitterness and nice aroma of Czechish hops."

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma has sweet, caramel malt and some bitter hops. Bitter, hoppy, dry taste which was pretty surprising. Well balanced in terms of malt and hops. A good lager that I’d be happy to drink again.

500 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on December 21. Pours clear light golden with a big white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is butter, caramel and some orange zest. Taste is rather sweet and is dominated by butterscotch and caramel. Bitterness is rather low but still noticeable. Finish is slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Nothing fancy but quite drinkable.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2011 Looks like any standard lager. My friends bottle poured a kind of cloudy beer though mine was perfectly clear. Whats up with that? Aroma is light malty with hay, citrus and a pinch of that buttery thing many Jämtland beers have. Grassy hops. Taste is a bit sweet, fried butter, bread, citrus, flowery and grassy hops. Caramel and cookie dough in the aftertaste. Body is medium, carbonation lively with small gushing bubbles. My friends version that was a bit cloudy tasted a bit more acidic and citrus though.
