COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Jämtlands president is a bottom fermented beer in the style of a north German pilsener. The beer has a medium bitterness and nice aroma of Czechish hops."

500ml Bottle (Thanks Gnoff) - Pale golden, with a small white head. Malty and slightly hoppy and soapy aroma, with hints of tea, lemon and some floral elements. Clean tasting taste with a well balanced sweetness and hoppiness. The bitterness is not very strong, but lingers on in the malty and hoppy finish. Some citric notes can be detected and it is slightly tangy on the tongue. Not bad for the style, and has elements of a golden ale.

(Bottle) Pours a nice clear golden colour with medium white head. The aroma has a tight, bread and straw-like maltiness alongside a floral, grassy, and herbal hoppiness. In addition, the typical new cut hay Lager profile is also notable. A whisper of black tea and citrus acid. There is also some honey sweetness on the nose. The flavour is light sweet and noble bitter with tones of straw, bread, grass and light herbs. Some acidic notes - too citric for a clean German Lager. Medium dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium carbonated and medium crisp. Light to medium bodied.

Thick creamy white head but watered down golden colour. Smell is full of grass and straw and malt. Flavour is malty with a noticable prescence of hops but also a funny sour taste. Mouthfeel is flat with too little carbonation. This brew is decent and it is not great. Least impressing beer I’ve had from Jämtlands. Serving type: bottle

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours clear golden but still some yeast visible, big white head. Malty and citrus aroma. Thirst quenching. Something metalic in the finish, but not to much or disturbing. I find this beer just behind the top segment of lager beers.

Flaske: Lysegul øl med et lille skumhoved. Duft af kornmasse. SMagen er forholdsvis bitter men med den knap så behagelige korn duft hængende i smagen. Bestemt ikke en favorit.

Bottle at one of chris o’s tastings. Alround rating: Good hoppy lager, on the bitter side of balanced and very drinkable.

Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing white fluffy head. Hazy light yellow body. Weak citrus aroma. Flavor of grapefruit with a good deal of bitterness as well. Low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.
