3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Rastacouere (6058) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 30, 2007
A fair white head covers the clear, very pale golden body. Impressively clean nose, immensely bready pils malts, to the point of hinting at butter or social tea biscuits - all in the utmost freshness. Underneath, soft herbal, grassy hops serve mostly a support function, procuring a certain crispness within precise, yet small bitterness. Dry palate, light-to-medium body, focused at drinkability. Just delicate and well rounded malts. A bit better than the ratings indicate I would say. That brewery is well beyond average at everything.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ekstedt (4596) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 23, 2007
Bottle. Slightly hazy, golden, with a medium white head. Malty aroma with some fruitiness (oeaches), and herbal hops. Medium bodied. Very bitter finsish. quite good, but Jämtlands Hell is much better.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OleR (4248) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 18, 2007
Bottle. Lightly hazed, pale yellow/golden color. Small filmy white head. Vague, but pleasant and fresh aromas of citrus, flowers and herbs... with slight fruity/acidic scents. Flavor-full. Dry pale malts, light acidic fruits, gentle hops, notes of honey. Skinny body. Mellow hopbitter finish. A very likeble and unusual pilsner.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Moz (613) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - FEB 17, 2007

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 lagomswedish (213) - Umeå, SWEDEN - JAN 14, 2007
Bottle from Systembolaget. Not my favourite Jamtlands by a long way. Agreed it’s got bags more character than many of the pilsners I’ve rated to date, but it’s mainly dry (a little dusty) with a bitter finish and a flash of tart grapefruit. I’ll be going back to their Bärnsten but not this one again.

0.5 l bottle. Light golden color with creamy head. Firm peppery and herbal hop aroma along with good malt aroma. Malty, grainy, bitter and a bit salty flavor. Citrusy, bitter and soapy finish. Good beginning but unpleasant finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maria (9632) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 3, 2007
Golden with a huge and nice head. The aroma is inviting with floral and hoppy notes. The flavour has nice floral and hoppy notes, a light and balanced sweetness, and a nice long and nicely bitter finish.

Bottle. Pour a clear golden colour with a fast disappearing white head. Sweet malty citrus aroma with some floral hoppy hints. Has a sweet malty flavor with hints of hops and a malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 MPA (746) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - DEC 7, 2006
Bottle. Light golden with a tall white head. Aroma of malt, second-hand clothes and slightly bitter. Flavour of grain and a little bit of hops. I also wrote "Troldepus" under flavour - a little troll that has a magic white wand (nothing dirty). I have no clue whatsoever as to why I got that association when rating this beer. Fresh beer in the not so good kinda way.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - NOV 7, 2006
Clear golden with a small white head. Sweet citrus aroma, slightly herbal and malty. The palate is a little fizzy, and the flavour mildly sweet, with caramel, moderate spicy hop bitterness and a herbal finish.
