COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Jämtlands president is a bottom fermented beer in the style of a north German pilsener. The beer has a medium bitterness and nice aroma of Czechish hops."

Bottle thanks to Bager. Clear golden - white head. Grainy, light sweetness, nice bitterness, grass, dryness, light butter, hints of sourness. This could have been good - but isn’t !!

Bottle. hazy pale golden colured with a medium sized white head. Not too well balanced with notes of grian, grass, metal and a bit fruity with a slight sour hint.

500 ml bottle. Crystal clear pale golden colour. White fluffy head that subsides quickly. Seemingly high carbonation level. Grainy malt aroma with crisp saaz hops. Crisp flavours with prickling sensation from carbonation. Refreshing hop bitterness and flavours. Light-bodied, and could perhaps have used a little more malt sweetness. Overall a delicious pilsener.

Bottle to celebrate Sweden’s national day. Pale golden colour, small white head. Fruity and grassy hop aroma. The hoppy flavours balance well the sweet maltiness, leaving a clean, dry finish. Good carbonation. I am not convinced.

Rastacouere (6126) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 30, 2007
A fair white head covers the clear, very pale golden body. Impressively clean nose, immensely bready pils malts, to the point of hinting at butter or social tea biscuits - all in the utmost freshness. Underneath, soft herbal, grassy hops serve mostly a support function, procuring a certain crispness within precise, yet small bitterness. Dry palate, light-to-medium body, focused at drinkability. Just delicate and well rounded malts. A bit better than the ratings indicate I would say. That brewery is well beyond average at everything.

Bottle. Slightly hazy, golden, with a medium white head. Malty aroma with some fruitiness (oeaches), and herbal hops. Medium bodied. Very bitter finsish. quite good, but Jämtlands Hell is much better.

OleR (4801) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 18, 2007
Bottle. Lightly hazed, pale yellow/golden color. Small filmy white head. Vague, but pleasant and fresh aromas of citrus, flowers and herbs... with slight fruity/acidic scents. Flavor-full. Dry pale malts, light acidic fruits, gentle hops, notes of honey. Skinny body. Mellow hopbitter finish. A very likeble and unusual pilsner.

Bottle. Really liked this one before but I guess my taste has changed. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma of malts & hops, a little bit fruity. Medium bitter flavour but slightly flat.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Not my favourite Jamtlands by a long way. Agreed it’s got bags more character than many of the pilsners I’ve rated to date, but it’s mainly dry (a little dusty) with a bitter finish and a flash of tart grapefruit. I’ll be going back to their Bärnsten but not this one again.
