MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 8, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Honeyed maltiness lather a herbal hop tenacity in this sturdily-built and immensely quenching Svetlé Specialni.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Lofty foam bobs atop the clear dark golden.
-The hoppy second half is both herbal and leafy, and lingers nicely.
-Carbonation is big-bubbled and helps to increase drinkability.
-Malts also offer bready notes.
Bottle; best before June ’08.
daniele (667), Italy Jul 21, 2008 chiara buona schiuma piuttosto persistente note maltate leggermente erbacei ma lievi naso piuttosto piatto in bocca malto e unfinale amaro omhper (10145), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 18, 2008 Bottled. Clear deep golden, small head. Soapy aroma with some apple. Sweet, fruity and medium bodied with long malty flavour and a waelth of hay. Lingering resiny bitterness. Has lost some drinkability in the process of ramping it up to 6%. Quack-Duck (1659), Bodensee, Germany Dec 18, 2007 bottle from Pivní Galerie. Clear golden colour, medium-size head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Full-bodied bitter-sweet, very malty and very hoppy at the same time, exactly how I love Bohemian 14° lagers. A shy hint of marzipan is present. Well-balanced, a lovely brew. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Oct 17, 2007 bottled. pale golden, light white head. aroma of underripe apple and vanilla. reasonably drinkable for a czech strong, decent bitterness
