sampled warm, in a mini plastic cup at pilsen markets on the square. dull brown with a faint amber tinge; aroma of woody marzipan; plenty of icing sugar flavour with hints of musk and some lurking musty, kvas-like funk. cloying after a while but at least has some character

1/11 A 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured quite dark golden to brown body with tiny legs. Carbofix paper glue aroma. Sweet, almonds are dominant over honey, notes of this glue still remain, but now it’s all melted together into a quite fine and pleasant flavor. Oily on palate as always, with not much alcohol felt in the flavor, but with very warming sweet finish. Not bad, good winter warmer for sure, but I’m still not impressed, especially as it stinks.

Bottle from a store/internet café in Prague, shared with ogivlado and heavy. Extremely dark, blackish red. Pungent nose ending somewhere between pistachio ice cream and a particular brand of paper glue we have here. Sweet, strong taste that delivers more of the same, pistachio ice cream over a honeyish sweet backdrop. A damn tasty beverage even if it makes for a strange mead. The alcohol can be felt from time to time but isn’t offputting. A fine enough beverage.
