COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fromerly named as Janáček Comenius Speciál Světlé 14°.
It is a product which is characterised by the fullness, strong body and slightly mead-caramel flavouring. The merit of this beer is also its very delicate bitterness. 6.0 % alcohol vol.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Opened with a lovely sweet aroma. Honey like sweetness and a medium body. Smooth and delicious. One of the best beers I have tried from the Czech Republic.

My Bottom Line:
Honeyed maltiness lather a herbal hop tenacity in this sturdily-built and immensely quenching Svetlé Specialni.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Lofty foam bobs atop the clear dark golden.
-The hoppy second half is both herbal and leafy, and lingers nicely.
-Carbonation is big-bubbled and helps to increase drinkability.
-Malts also offer bready notes.

Bottle; best before June ’08.

bottle from Pivní Galerie. Clear golden colour, medium-size head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Full-bodied bitter-sweet, very malty and very hoppy at the same time, exactly how I love Bohemian 14° lagers. A shy hint of marzipan is present. Well-balanced, a lovely brew.

Bottled 500ml. -Clear golden coloured, medium to big white head, pleasant hoppy nose. Moderate malty, hoppy and grainy with notes of herbs. Rather bitter finish. Very good Boh. pils and the best Czech beer I’ve tried on Rujanfest.

Looks nice and golden when it pour. White head that doesn’t last. Fresh, hoppy smell with some malty notes in it. Taste is bitter and full. Lots of caramelly malt along with some honeylike sweetness that makes up for the bitterness in a good way. Both malt and hops lingers in the mouth.

Quite good beer, blond, hoppy and grainy and bitter enough. Not a surprise after yesterday party but definitely giving better feeling about a bloody life. B@H

Very clear gold golden beer, light off white modest head, some dots as lacings inside mug. Caramel, dark roasted malts, grass, hay, leather, lots of toffee fudges to the nose. Hops with toffee fudges to the tongue, followed by grass, herbs, resiny notes, plums, roasted signatures. Smooth on palate, nice body. Soft carbonation. Fruity bitterness continues during the finish, with bitter-malts, cognac-prunes, dark bread notes. Nice up-tempo sipper. Something in between premium pilsener and heller bock. Very tasty. 0.5l bottle. Clear deep golden body, huge off-white head, lots of bubbles. Aroma of sweet grainy, bready malts and floral hops. The taste of sweet grainy malts upfront, followed by the earty, floral hops. Medium bodied, easy to drink and the bitterness lasts for a quite long time. Nice.
