750ml capped bottle. Pours a clear bright golden with thick pillowy white head. Nose is quite doughy, with honey and lemon sweetness, some hay as well as a touch of apple cider. Doughy malt up front, nice pepper dryness picking up and into the finish with a underlying honey sweetness the whole way and lingers long past finish with some hints of apple.

Bottle 750 ml. Appearance: Hazy yellow-golden with a medium foamy white head. Aroma: Sourness, horse blanket, citrus and belgian yeast. Taste: Citrus, sourness, belgian yeast. Palate is dry. Overall: Sour for a season, but refreshing. Not my favorite.

TheJestersBeer (809) - SWEDEN - APR 14, 2012
Draught. Pours a medium gold, with a white head. Fruity, rather estery aromas, malt, wheat, yeast, citru, faintly funky. Dry, medium body and bitterness, low CO2. Fruity, malty, estery taste, yeast, straw, grapefruit, slightly sour. Way too fruity and fluffy for a saison. I miss the astringent dryness, and the aromatic, yeasty notes that the style usually has. I don’t get the hype about this one. (2011-04-11)

750 ml bottle courtesy of Stefan. Pours hazy pale golden with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with dusty barnyard, orange zest, lemon juice, plums, hay, white pepper and coriander. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly sour and tiny bitter with lemon juice, orange peal, white pepper, wheat bread and dusty barnyard. Mouthfeel is watery, tiny tart and thin to medium bodied. Finish is dry and tiny sour with orange zest, wheat bread and white pepper. A bit thin bodied but very refreshing!

Bottle. Hazy golden with a medium sized white sudsy head. This beer is super fucking drinkable and dry as a fucking duck. I heard Merv likes this shit. Nuff said.

750mL. Okay let’s give this one a shot. Open up the cap and beautiful coconut and pineapple explodes out of the bottle. In the oversized Tripel Karmeliet tulip it generates a massive, white head even with slow, tepid pouring. SRM is cloudy light gold to near straw. Massive ice cream retention. Webby lacing. Nose is spectacular: sweet banana’s fosters, pina colada, sweet nectar fruits, curacao/bitter orange. Taste up front is super doughy. Light bitterness. No residual sugar thank the lord. Palate is wickedly neutral. Almost absent and super aerated. Not a whole lot of "taste" but the actual summer quenching character of this saison is spot on. Lightly tangy, sourdough abounding. Drinking this with food or even after it warms up allows the very light pineapple and orange sorbet character to take over. Ultra clean finish. Perfect summer quenching saison. Perfect attenuation. Insists on giant gulps upon intake. There is a bit of a muted plastic phenol character that subsides with decanting. Really just outstanding- the opposite of "spiced" Abbey Tripel like "saisons" with residual sugar. Oh yeah.
