Aroma: honey, hay, pickles, grass, mustiness
Appearance: pale yellow, white head, little lacing
Flavor: hay, grass, slight tartness, little pickle-flavor--like the dills, not sweet pickles, yeastiness
Palate: yeasty, tart yeast aftertaste

Bottle. Hazy orange appearance. Aroma is slightly peppery and citric, with some nice floral notes. Palate is dry and lightly grassy and floral, with some light white grape notes, and a peppery finish. Mouthfeel is fairly carbonated, but quite a soft carbonation. Good stuff i think. Good saison.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2008 A very nice and ballanced beer. A discovery for this new brewer. Had it on draft as well as from bottle. Really worth trying. Louking for the other beer they are going to have

At the KBW in Vichte (B). A hazy yellow colored beer with a white head. Aromas of fruits like citrus, bitter touches. The taste is als some bitter, with some hops and some nice fruity notes. It has a long bitter after taste. A good summer beer.

750ml bottle at Chez Moeder in Brussels. With a careful first pour it’s clear pale yellow with a pure white head. Some light acidity in the nose along with a fresh, peppery green hop note. Light perfumed yeast sits delicately on the palate. Effervescent and light, with some mild hibiscus flowers and black pepper notes, but also a greenness throughout. At times it has a corn-like note found in old lager, but overall it’s enjoyable.

A Mes rate: Bottle thanks to Jean at Moeder Lambic.
Pale golden, slight haze and with a lasting white head. A good looking beer. A lovely Belgian saison with some glorious US IPA type hoppage. Glorious lemon and citric notes with a dusty aged character to it that does not detract from the freshness at all. Assertive bitterness offsets the lovely fruity notes really well. Mouthfeel is excellent. Carbonation is just right for the style. A lick of pale malt to balance the hops in the finish brings everything to a very good conclusion. Everything a saison should be plus some great US hints. Bloody good.

(Bottle at One Pint on 2008-02-21) Almost clear. Light golden colour. Nose is like mead with citron. Dry, hoppy and also fruity.

Bottle: Poured a golden to copper blonde with a thin white head. The aroma is soft fruit and hops. The taste stabs at my tongue like a fork, opening it up to the hops and citrus fruit. I really think this is closer to an IPA. Very stunning bottle with a unexpected kick.
