750 ml bottle. A hazy dark golden beer with a large, almost creamy, fully lating and lacing white head. The aroma is nicely hoppy with a good malt background and notes of flowers, herbs, orange, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, some spices. The flavour is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Again, like the VCense a cross between Belgian and American school. Near medium body, lively carbonation, vry long finish with medium to high bitterness. I’d have preferred a more strong body and this is not the best season to enjoy this kind of stuff, but this beer is great and balanced.

Bottle@Home. Well balanced but not very expressive. Except for the bitterness pretty clean. High drinkability.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2010 Growler from Capone’s. Clear, slightly hazy yellow pour with a thin white head. Crisp malt aroma with hints of honey. Very floral with some grassy hops. Funky yeasty flavor. Slightly sweet with honey. Notes of brett and cereal. Nice hoppy finish. Crisp, easy to drink. Fantastic saison.

(75cl bottle, thanks brainlair) Small white head atop cloudy straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, pineapple, orange, some melon/strawberry, light yeast. Taste is medium sweet, pineapple, some cat piss, grapefruit, light yeast. Light-medium body. Pleasant beer, but it isn’t really a saison.

Pours a slightly hazy golden bronze with a well-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruity hoppy notes and a touch of sweet biscuity malts. Starts with average fullness and some earthy fresh resiny hop character and some light pale malty sweetness before a drier bittersweet finish. Not much saison character, but good hoppiness throughout.

A better than average saison. Thick, for the style, and full bodied. Lots of yeast in the aroma and flavor. Well hopped. Sweet, and a cloudy yellow appearance.

750 ml. Hazy gold body. Big, white head, mostly lasting. The aroma is peppery with spice, lemon and honey. Notes of toasted grain, flowers, orange and dust. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and moderately acidic. The finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Dry. Medium body, watery texture that turns velvety in the finish and lively carbonation. This is not overly complex nor overbearing in aroma or flavor. Its strength is in its balance. The finish is especially good -- dry and bitter with citrus and pepper. Excellent.

Hazed golden liquid with some fish food and frothy, a bit wispy white head. Pale malt, dough, honey, yeast and lemon zest. Flavors of earthy malt, grassy and light fruit. Some light alcohol notes. Finish is lightly acidic and yeasty. Kind of cross between a golden and a saison.

750, pours an orange golden body with a white head. Moth dry fruity esters with some light lemon and apricot. Floral earthy with some spruce and light citrus. Decent saison.
