Very refreshing aroma. The taste is also refreshing. Dry finish. Maybe a little plain.

Undated bottle, purchased from Martyís Newton, drunk 8/16/15.
Clear, dark golden body is topped by a very large white head showing good retention.
Well, guess this one sat on the shelf too long....Incredibly oxidized. The flavor is sweet, too much so, seemingly, with massive esters, phenols and dominating oxidation. Again, had the brewery bothered to put any sort of date on the bottle, this may have been prevented. That being said, Iíve had very old bottles of Saison Dupont that have sat on the shelves for a long time and were still wonderful. Dunno. Heard a lot of good things about this one, so will certainly try again. Guess itís not one to age....

Appearance: clear to hazy pale gold with one finger of pillowy white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: earthy, citrus, Brett funk, some stone fruit. (8/10) Taste: very mild sweet, moderate bitter, mild tart and funk. (9/10) Palate: light body, moderate to lively carbonation, bone dry crisp finish. (5/5) Very nicely done Saison - not sweet at all, but pleasantly fruity, with a crisp dry finish. Very much to style, and a pleasant thirst quencher while working in the yard. I like this a whole bunch. (18/20)

Blonde. Voilé. Forte effervescence. Légèrement sucré. Épicé. Très minérale. Citronné. Florale. Rafraichissante. Finale sèche et astringente. Très bien.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy golden straw with a small white head. Light grain aromas with some white pepper, lemon and grassy hops. Taste is more of the same. Quite bitter on the palate for a saison. Nice lemon zest and white grapefruit pith in there as well. Almost has a pilsner like Saaz hoppiness on the finish.

Certainly the best beer I ever had! It has a fragile taste and my first time it was served in a champagne-glass. Marvelous. The second time it was served in an ordinary glass and the flavour was gone! So be aware, use your wives champagne-glass and donít let her see it, she will finish your bottle ;-)

Bottle. Curious Hop, Otley. Cap came off in silence. Clear, green tinged, gold. No head. Lemon. Bread. A bit pissy. Missus gets plastic milk. Which isnít a sentence Iíve used before, Iíd wager. Taste is fusty lemon sweet. Some privet bitterness. Low carbonation. Feels a bit oily. Not as itís intended, probably. One Iíd try again, though. Just to check.
