Dark brown pour. Malty aroma. Flavor was malty with belgian yeast and oh my god prunes. Whole lotta prunes. A great start, but overall not terribly interesting. A bit disappointed, as it came highly recommended.

750 ml bottle. Canít remember from where. Pours clear copper with a frothy and fizzy beige head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet, tiny sour and vinous with bread, dark grapes, wood, black pepper, lemon juice, cereal, hay, dry soil and hints of barnyard, caramel and resin. Taste is slightly sour and tiny funky with cereal, crackers, hay, dry wood, green grapes, black pepper, cloves, dry soil, lemon juice and sourdough bread. Mouthfeel is dry, spritzy and light to medium bodied. Finish is dry and spicy with crackers, wood, cereal, hay, grape skins, bread, lemon zest and wood. Quite tasty.

75cl bottle. Amber brown and clear. Small to medium white head. Nose : Beautiful aromas of fruits like apples, citrus and candid dates or dried figs. Some little tart and toffee. Fruit tea. Sip : Oily with low carbonation and low to medium body thickness. Sweet with dried fruits flavor, moderate tartness. Fresh fruit and hop aromas come to add to the taste. The aftertaste is a bit sour and lightly bitter. The beer has a very light taste and is really easy to drink. The alcohol volume is well hidden. I would recommend it on a summertime with grilled chicken.

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike. The beer is dark orange/sunburst with a quarter inch of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the snifter. The aroma is rather mild, offering subtle hints of hops and light floral notes. The flavor is pleasant, though unexciting. Clean and easy. Light in body with appropriate carbonation. The least complex of the IV,V, and VI we shared tonight. Overall, decent. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-02-2012

On tap. Nice dark amber-copper colour. Aromas to cookie, species and fruit. the fruit continues in the mouthfeel, with hints of peach, pear and lychees, even strawberry and red fruits. Nice bitterness, dry and elegant. Nice, for sure Iíll repeat (though maybe its fame itís a little bit excessive).

Taste is floral honey and caramel, grass and herbs. Hints of dark malts and grains. Medium mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Nice and somewhat "dark" saison.
