omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 19, 2007 Updated: Feb 21, 2007Bottled. Dark brown, fairly rich creamy head. Roasty and smokey. Sweetish and thin with a nice bacony smoke flavour a lightly tarry finish. Light unfortunate notes of blood. Really flavourful for a N/A. TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Dec 30, 2006 Bottled (BB 10/2007)
Dark N/A beers are quite rare. Here is one from Portugal. Almost pitch black, small coffee head. Strong aroma of milk chocolate mixed with some low alco rubberness. Quite watery and ashy, this beer tastes like if you drink water from used ashtray. oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Dec 30, 2006 Bottled. Very dark brown colour, has a mediumsized brown head, but it vanishes quite fast. Strong coffee beans and roasted malts in aroma. Flavour is coffee, roasted malts, slght metallic hints. Burnt wet wood in aftertaste. A very pleasant Low Alco for once... bmxutos (161), Lisboa, Portugal Jan 3, 2006 Bottle, 33cl. Dark brown colour with reddish hints and a decent beige head that doesn’t last long. Aroma is sweet and malty, but not very strong. Flavour has something metallic on it and that is very unpleasant. Not much else to speak of, just a few malt notes and a dry finish. This one was the first dark/all-malt/low-alcohol beer made in Portugal.
