2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 SHIG (2707) - Anchorage, USA - JUN 17, 2006
This beer is a dark brown with light brown to white head. It had a caramel to coffee style dark beer aroma. To the tongue it was very sweet and over powering taste.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours amber with a vague haze and a creamy and lacing beige head. Lightly tart berry-like aroma. Medium body, tart and fruity with a dry and lightly bitter finish. An odd brew. And certainly not an Abbey Dubbel. 021009
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JUL 8, 2006
(Tap) If I’m not mistaken the name of this beer must be ’Kruisberen bier’ Kruisheren means something like "Crosslords"/crusaders (The christian madmen from centuries ago?) While Kruisberen is some berrylike ingredient. Anyway. Aroma is fruity and caramel-coffee malty. Hazy, brown coloured with a lasting off-white head. Taste is sweet, fruity, sugary, caramel malty. Slighly sticky. I believe there was some butterscotch in it.

Sugary aroma with coffee and a hint of roast. Sweet sugary flavor with some roast and pear. Simple, straightforward and somewhat too sweet beer.
