Big foam out of the bottle eventually settled down to an opaque gold. An all-spice aroma rather than banana esthers. Not much initial taste but a spicy and slightly sour aftertaste. Didn’t like it very much.

...bottle. Poured a slightly hazy light orange, with minima whitel head, no lacing. On the nose were hints of raw sugar, and wheat malt, but not much. Flavors were of wheat, hints of spicyness, but not much. Overly carbonated, overly sweet, too thin of a body, too watery. Just not close to a Hefe.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - FEB 19, 2008
Bottle (330ml). Poured a hazy straw yellow with a tinge of orange and a large frothy head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of musky wheat, with straw, banana, mild bready notes, orange peel, coriander and some vanilla in the mix. Flavor was mainly of musky wheat with some banana, honey, some cloves, orange zest (light) and hints of vanilla in the back. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, somewhat watery texture, creamy mouthfeel and a short but decent finish.

Cloudy golden with a massive bubbly white head. Strong wheaty aroma, I didnt pick up a lot of banana and clove as they’d advertised... rather more in the direction of citrus (mandarin?) and coriander. Smooth, slightly tannic mouthful, bitterness and carbonation are about spot on. Light fruity esters and some citric tartness in the flavour... continues through the finish.

Clean but overcarbonated hefe. Cloudy dirty lemon colour, fair head retention. Sour-wheat hefe nose, nice bready notes and faint banana. Hard mouthfeel from an over-fizzy palate - way too spritzy for the style. It’s the kind of extreme carbonation that undermines a lot of other good work. Good doughy malts and some clove and tangy lemon in the finish. Really found that mouthfeel distracting. Otherwise pretty good. 330ml bottle BB 31/12/07. From my first whaff of this beer, I would have sworn it was a Belgian style wheat beer. Spicy nose, clove at the forefront definately, some tangy citrus. Pours a hazy straw body with white head. Body is unexpectidly full, creamy with carbonation, mild tartness. Suprisingly tasty, vanilla, clove, lemon rind, ripe banana, notes of grass. Wouldn’t go as far as to say classic hefeweizen character, but appetising certainly.

Pleasent enough beer, has a cidery/apple nose with some hints of banana’s and cloves. Pours with a white head that quickly dissipates and has a light golden amber colour. Pleasent banana and cloves in the german style of beer making.

Tried this in 2005 and it was flat and sour. Must have got bad bottle because this wheat is tops. Has banana flavour and aromas. This wheat is going places.
