UPDATED: FEB 20, 2008 12oz bottle @ 55 degrees. Good Pale Ale. Bottle says drink within 4 months. This one brewed in July 07 and I’m drinking in Jan 08,. Whoops, I’m a bit late on their recommendation. Nevermind. I don’t care what they call it, this is a quality English Pale Ale. A brilliant, sweet-bitterish-hoppy aroma that excites the senses. Pours a beautiful cloudy amber color, with a respectable head. Taste is a bit hoppy for my tastes, but perfectly bitter, with a touch of malt. The beer is mostly uncarbonated, so the palate is smooth and creamy.

12 oz bottle. June 06. Hazy amber with a frothy, ivory head. Some stays. Wasn’t expecting such a boozy nose from a pale. Caramel with melon. Kind of like a diluted barleywine. Buzzy carb with a medium-light body. Watery malts, green grass and sugar cookie. Hints of ginger and pepper emerge with drying. Muddy but interesting.

12 oz bottle courtesy of kenb. Thanks! Pours a cloudy orange with 2 fingers of light orange head. Looks tasty. Good citrus notes. Very smooth beer, think it could use just a slight more kick though. But overall pretty nice easy drinkin beer. Would make a great Session beer.

12 oz Bottle via Arctic Liquors Beer of The Month Club. Bottled June 2006. Pours a hazy amber with a tiny head. Nose is pine and grapefruit. Tastes starts with some caramel malts, then some orange and grapefruit and a bit of butterscotch. Moderate carbonation. Medium body. Thin mouthfeel. A good pale Ale. Would love to taste a fresh one as this one is 5 months old

Bottle. Pours deep gold and amber with a small quickly dissipating off-white head, some lined lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, orange notes, malt (straw, hay) and yeast (sweat). Medium acidity, moderate bitterness, mild sweet citrus hop flavor, straw, meal, grainy malt, yeast at the end. Light bodied, fizzy palate.

Bottle. Pours a light amber with a nice foamy hat on top. Nose is unusual, not sure what’s going on there. Flavor is metallic, with some hop bitterness. I finished this one still trying to figure out what the heck is going on here. Not very hopped. Weird beer, but extrodinarily enough, not that bad either.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - MAY 6, 2004
Clear and still amber with a whispy top. Little aroma. Knife-edge of a hop, but settles quickly. Thin and not as well balanced as it could be.
