3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Single bottle from Binnyís. Pours a big bubbly head in a narrow 312 glass. Slightly spicy American Wheat smell. Taste has a bit of umami to it, later on I get a note of ale fruitiness. Mostly European hops, I think, with a finish of American cones. Small amount of sediment on the bottom gives the last inch or two in the glass a lot of floaties and a slight yeasty character. I find it pleasant.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale Clear Yellow Color, Huge Bubbly Foam Head, Lots Of Lacing. Not Much Of an Aroma, very faint fruity notes with clove. Tastes sweet, wheat, clove and light peppery hop bitter. Mellow, easy drinker. Somewhat reminds me of a Belgian Ale. Nothing Fancy but up my alley, style wise. OK.
Yet another Local Brewer that is not too far and I wish to find time to go visit.
Most important thing that I took away from this beer - Jarrett Payton is a Social Butterfly...If I am somewhat on the opposite side of the scale, what does it make me?

So, Walter Paytonís son has a beer named after him... okey dokey: bottle from ABC on Apalachee. Light gold pour with white head. Aroma is caramel, wheat. Tastes are really sweet grain, grass, dough, lemon. Lots of carbonation. Meh.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden sparkling pour, light white bubbly head. Aroma has a light lemony accent to it, a touch of grassiness. Flavor has a light citrus bent to it, a hint of bubble gum, a trace of coriander spiciness. Mouthfeel has a nice crispness to it. Not bad at all.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UK golden ale aroma - light diacetyl, I suspect Goldings. Clear, yellow. Self-aggrandizing label. Overbrewed and astringent, a little briny, citrus pith. Medium body, long and annoying astringent finish. Sucks, sucks bad. ABC, Bull Run.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear light gold with a huge cap of frothy white head. Aroma of dark wheat with a little orange citrus. Taste is light bitter. Hsrbal hops dominate with a little wheat on the end. Light bodied with a slick yet sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long, kinda gross finish. Meh, not very good

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Purchased at Binnyís in Chicago, IL; enjoyed after a good work week, first Friday Iíve had at home in a long time. Since I used to go to school w/ this guy, and he was a nice guy, I figured Iíd try out this brew that bears his family name (see what I did there...). Sorry but this beer just sucks. When I opened the bottle, foam exploded out and I had to let it sit for about a minute before it started to calm down. Appearance is a cloudy moderate gold with an annoyingly large while head. Aroma of clove, wheat, ale yeast. Taste is very carbonated, goes down like sparkling water, tastes somewhat like a Belgian wheat which is a bit odd. Iím not a fan, good guy, but a bad brew.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle pours a cloudy golden color with huge frothy white head and clumps of lacing. It may have been an accident that the one I tried exploded with foam. Aroma is simple, and full of grains with floral hops on the finish. Taste is neutral with slight bitterness in the short finish. Body is light to medium with a crisp mouthfeel. Thereís nothing etiher bad nor memorable about this one. I really wanted to like this, but it is just an average session wheat ale. If this was available in 30 packs of cans priced like the majors, Iíd drink it regularly. Iím still waiting for the closest brewery to my house to produce something great, but will have to wait longer.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
As a Packer fan, not sure why I ordered this while out watching a Blackhawks game. However, I enjoy wheat beers and this caught my eye. Not bad, not great. Average.

12oz bottle 2/14/13 (Binnyís Naperville Mix a Six)-46į in Tumbler Pours a clear light golden with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of wheat and grains. Taste of wheat, hops, grains, and grass. This light bodied brew is a not too shabby American Wheat.

I donít know who Jarrett Payton is really but he seems to be famous because of his father but likes to name things after himself. He is an unexceptional but professional football player and likewise the people at Argus are unexceptional but professional brewers. This beer pours a hazy orange golden w/ a massive head of mixed bubbles. It is sort of overcarbonated with earthy and citrus overtones. Itís dry and drinkable w/ a good firm bite of hops in the finish.
