COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every Jasperite knows B. Hill. The B Hill Pilsner is modeled after the great lagers initially developed in Czechoslovakia's Pilsen region, whose style of lager is famous as one of the most popular beers in the world. Brewed with German malts and hops, the gold-coloured B Pill Pil starts and ends with a clean hop flavour.

Quick review! Pale gold, limited cap. Muted aroma cereal and pennies. Taste is better, smooth easy drinking, crisp, clean. Corn, grass, metalic hops. Not one bad thing to say but very forgetable.

Poured a clear golden with a well-retained cap of creamy white head. Nose was of sweet pils and pale malts, and lemon...simple, soft, and pleasant. Very nice initial flavor.

Pint on tap at the brewery pours a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy with hints of citrus and some floral notes. Taste is light malty sweetness with some mild grassy and citrus hop bitterness in the finish. Light bodied with mild carbonation. A suprisingly decent pilsener style brew that is very refreshing and easy to drink. A definite session beer.

Cask@Jasper Brewery Brewpub, Jasper. Pale golden beer with a mildly dry aroma and a dry, watery and mildly hopped flavour. Overall nice dry beer but average

Slightly hazy yellow gold brew with an ok white cap. Decent retention and good lacing. The aroma was wet grass (not lawn - more of a wild prairie grass), touch of honey and slightly fruity. Comes across with a nice ammount of tangy stiff hops and a lots of grain (???) as well as tasting dry. Not really all that smooth - a bit rocky actually which for whatever reason was good. Nice solid hop finish. Good length for the aftertaste. I like the hops they have used here. This is a good beer.

Tap, at brewpub. As Sutter Hill Pil. Lemon yellow colour. Low sticky white cap. Grainy dryish malt nose. Flavour of moderately crisp and grainy malt, light grassy hops. Body was light as was the mouthfeel. Straightforward German influenced lager.

Draught at the brewpub, as Sutter Hill
Blond color, nice perlage. Many German Lagers are like this non-Pilsner (not very interesting but balanced); maybe it’s just a bit more perfumy.

Draft 6 oz at the brewpub; Pale beer with the same shine and gluey head as teh honey beer. Lightly malty aroma. Fruity and tangy with a puckery little bite to it. Bit light for a pils, and almost indistinguishable from their honey. Quaffable, though. (#2887, 5/15/2007)
