Hazy amber with a lasting off-white head. Caramel malty aroma with spicy-herbal yeasty notes. Dry and tart caramel and dried fruit flavour with some dark bready notes. Shame that it’s supposed to be a doppelbock, as I kinda like the infections.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Marios.
Clean golden brown with a thin white head that lasts well. An unusual snout. Lots of whisky malt character, kinda like a highland or something. Lots of sugary notes too. Very sweet indeed. Too sweet unfortunately. Big malt, again with a highland fling. Huge sugar, maybe a little astringent. Some slight barley wine character too. Decent enough beer, just too sweet.
