UPDATED: JUL 9, 2015 15.1.2015 330 ml on tap. Pours light golden-yellow, lightly hazy, with a dense, thick, stable, white head. Aroma is faintly malty and yeasty, slight fruit notes. Medium body with rich, lightly oily mouth feel and soft carbonation. Tastes sweet, with some nice herbal bitterness and slight sourness. Flavor is of pale malt, sweet floral honey, slight herbal hops, and feelable coriander, a little alcohol in flavor, strong ripe ripe fruit tones with vanilla. Flavor profile is classic and clean, yet well executed and balanced, but it could use slight more hops or spice to balance the fruity sweetness. Warming, but surprisingly light and hides the alcohol quite well. 5/4/6/3/16 9.7.2015 On tap, 500ml. Pours clear, with a light orange color and very short head. Carbonation is not too strong yet feelable, and fits the beer. Tastes quite sweet, but just right, well balanced. Flavor of alcohol and sweet dried fruit and sugar flavors. Surprisingly light on malt. A very good beer, warming, slightly heavy, but very easy to drink thanks to carbonation and sweetness - it goes down quickly. 4/3/7/3/16

Another excellent brew from "Jem's Beer Factory," easily becoming my favorite Israeli microbrewery so far. This Belgian style ale is very flavorful, a complex mix of fruit flavors yeasty notes, paired with caramel malty and honey sweetness. Aroma previews the flavor well. Appearance was a glowing orange color with good head and lacing, is clear yet looks dense, and is accordingly full bodied. Although the strong alcohol notes do slip through and contributes to a warm finish, still quite enjoyable! I'm surprised that Jem's beers don't have higher average ratings, I've been very impressed by their work so far!

Dark orange with no foam, but that could have been the glass it was served in. Weak aroma, some barley, some banana. Taste is mixture of strong blond beer and fruit beer, banana, avocado notes. Little bitter in aftertaste initially, then changing into avocado again. (Tel Aviv 201406) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle from the Beer Bazar, enjoyed in Helsinki, the last of the small collection I brought home from Israel. Hazy amberish brown colour, medium off-white mostly dissipating frothy white head, fair lacing. Heavily malty aroma of honey, raisins, nuts and caramel, moderate floral hops, moderately yeasty with notes of leaves and mushrooms. Taste is initially heavily sweet with a hint of acidity and bitterness, turning into a long moderately sweet and slightly bitter finish with a moderately alcoholic feel. Full body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation. Not a bad take on the Belgian ale style, plenty of aroma but reminded me a bit too much of the Russian carbonated mead concoctions. Quite an interesting mix of aromas nonetheless.

Bottle in Jerusalem. Exp date: unknown. Pours a pale amber with a fluffy two-and-a-half finger white to offwhite head that dissipates within a few moments to a thin layer of foam. Active carbonation and sediment visible in the glass, and thatís without having poured in the yeast at the base of the bottle. Aroma is yeasty up front, very leafy and doughy, with malts prominent a-la hay, and floral hops - sweet, balanced and very pleasant. Taste is sugary sweet (borderline cloying), floral and a little doughy in the middle with moderately bitter herbal finish -- not quite as interesting as the aroma due to dominance of sugar, but nice. No alcohol presence in the flavor, but it does come out in the aroma as the beer warms. Body is light to medium with smooth almost creamy texture, carbonation is average, almost no lacing along the glass. All in all, an enjoyably drinkable and pretty good beer.
