Rune (1508), Tromsø, Norway Jun 23, 2008 A nice 1 litre Krug shared at a drinking session in Tromsø. Gives a good shot with smoke when opened. The pour reveals a russet coloured body with off-white patches on the surface. Smell of sweet, roasted malts. Plain, dark caramel flavour supported by brown sugar and coffee beans. Almost full bodied with a good mouthfeel, but within the limits of getting too sweet (14.06.2008).
Finn (1072), Tromsø, Norway Jul 17, 2008 A nice krug - filled in the brewpub. A very good shot when opened. Completely black colored. No head. Sweet malty flavor. Caramellish flavor with a sweet bitter aftertaste. Thanks to CatweazleTroms for sharing his birthday present. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany May 8, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Very dark brown colour. Good stable light brown head. The flavour is very sweet, reminding me of hvidtøl, though less sugary. Quite nice actually. Has some brown sugar and dark bread. Some alcohol flavour, but not very distinct. raymondwave (778), Finland Sep 24, 2007 At the brewpub. Almost black, fluffy beige head. Coffee, hot chocolate, smoothness, slightly burnt, but never too bitter. Very smooth and very beautiful dunkler bock.
