2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 heavy (1466) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 1, 2009
0.75 l bottle from beershop.hr. It poured clear darker orange with medium sized head that went down pretty fast. Slightly alcoholic and malty aroma, weak and simple aroma. Flavor is malty, somewhat alcoholic as well, sweetish. Relatively thin bodied, without something that would stand out here. Some earthy and honey sweet finish. Slightly alcoholic which also makes finish a bit bitter. Reminds of some better malt liquor and not so good as some supermarket BDG I had some time ago. OK and easily drinkable beer when you consider it all, but misses character being so boring!

Bottle from Keg Liquor, IN.
Poured a clear orange color with a large white frothy head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate yeasty and sweet citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a smooth citrus sweet finish of average duration.
Soft drinkable brew.

Bomber. Pours clear orange with a white head. Aroma of yeast, orange, funk and lemon candy. Flavor maintains sweet note of maple, caramel, ad candied apple. Finishes average length with caramel sweetness. Given that this is a biere de garde, I was not expecting the sweetness.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Gary (1013) - London and Rochester, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2010 750ml:Corked. I drank this as one of my two beers of first choice while living in Brittany , Along with Trois Monts.: Its easy to locate in 750mls or if you’re really in the mood for this, mini kegs too., A good , honest biere de garde . Not looking too be anything other than charming and drinkable. Lots of nutty sweet malt flavour giving caramel and then the text book earthiness found in this style. A mild dry bitterness ,with minty feel. Very plesant,
