Sweet and malty yet refreshing and begging for some food to wash down. Drank at La Gueuze cafe in Paris. 33 cL bottle pours classic amber color with fading white head. Sweetish cookie aroma with tinges of apple and maple. Rather sweet flavor, just short of cloying thanks to a very slight bitterness, soft carbonation and maybe a bit wet. Lightly bitter and sweet aftertaste. Would be the perfect complement to something roasted and salty... somebody bring me a bird.

750ml bottle.Clear amber with a 2 finger head. Malty sweet fruit smell is lighty oxidized.Medium body and smooth. Nice taste is earthy, musky with a ripe apple sweetness. Not too bad. 6406

0, 75 l bottle. Nice amber-brown color with a delicious small head. Moderated aroma with caramell, grains and a hint of fermented tea-leafs. The flavour is sweety and malty(roasted too) with a good balanced-moderated hop taste. The aftertaste is smoothy sour.

75cl bottle: Malty aroma of caramel malts, grain, banana nut bread, warm alcohol, a little hop and low aluminum foil. Flavors of crystal malts and a quick roast touch that only lasts for a split second. CO2 brings a "green sting" to the back of the throat. Some banana and mixed fruit in middle. Long smooth but grainy finish with hops that ends with a little tin.

Bottle @ The Rake, november 07. Clear amber color with a nice, bubbly white head. Molasses, caramel aroma with some spicyness. Caramelly, spicy flavor with some crystal notes. Slightly oxidized but nice, warming. Medium palate, a little big and clumsy but warming. Nice, warming, spicy, amber beer.

Appearance: copper amber color. Medium head, few consistency, whitish-yellowish and not much persistent.
Aroma: malty, butter, candy and sugar smells. Peaches and oranges touches. Fruity-sourness. Alcoholic.
Flavor: malty sweet start, slight toasty and candy grains, progress with butterscotch , nut and honey reminiscences. Slightly sour and with fruit-reminiscences; like stone peaches, apricots, candy-oranges and plums. Light dry-hoppy, dryness mainly from alcohol. Large and warming final. Nutty and malty aftertaste.
Palate: light to medium body, velvet texture. Medium carbonation.
Some unbalanced to started, but finally is to make up for the alcoholic degree. Nice.
