3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reddish copper colour. Burnt malt aroma - slightly undeveloped with a hint of smoke and a touch of sulphur. Dry, dusty malt flavours with some fruit accents and a fair amount of bitterness. Has a rather autumnal feel to it. Thin mouthfeel, but easy drinking. Not spectacular, but better, and with more character, than I anticipated. Cask (gravity) at Twickenham Beer Festival.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask Conditioned at The Bank Tavern, Keswick. Amber to mid brown with good head. Heavily malted but dry and tobacco like. Thin not balanced, not bitter enough for me.

Dark amber; odd yeast note - like crackers, salt and all; cashews as well. Weird.

Nut brown. Dry, ashy and light bodied. Rather salty with bitterish finish. Unremarkable.
