Bottle at the Delday establishment. Quite thin and light on consistency. Too flat, not great.

50cl bottle from the Spar. Appearance - golden with some head which then quickly disappears. Nose - unfortunately the first thing i get is butterscotch. Then some toffee and a light citrus nite comes through. Taste - caramel and lemon. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a decent finish considering the richness at the beginning. Overall - not like the typical blondes I’m used to drinking.

Appearance: Clear golden amber with finger thick white head. Aroma: Citrus, floral, bready/biscuity malt, peppery. Taste: Medium bitterness, low/medium sourness and low sweetness. Palate: Medium thick grainy texture, light body, average carbonation, lingering slightly dry, citrus, burnt malt, peppery finish. Comments: Tasty and glass lace.

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear a clear orange colour, with a rapidly dissipating white head. Aroma of malt, dough and lemon zest. Standard pasteurised bitter flavours; some flowery hops, straw and cream soda. Finish was grassy and metallic bitterness, with some boiled sweets.

Clear golden. Fine white head and aroma. Grass and pine shoots in aoma of dry hopping with fine hops. Taste is more neutral, while still grassy. Decently hoppy aftertaste. A bit waterish mouthfeel. Good drinkability.

Bottle 500 ml at home, into a Guinness glass, ABV 4.2% Pours a very deep orange coloured beer, with a clear body and one finger of white head on top. Good retention, heavy lacing left behind. Nothing interesting on the aroma, dirty malts, hay, some faint citrus but not enough to save it. Taste is better though, malty, light metallic notes -not annoying-, the citrus now stronger, some floral and fruity notes as well towards the finish. Medium body, carbonation on the high side, quite dry on the palate. Overall okay.

S- light hop, flowery, sweet A - light amber, 1 finger pale head that dissipated quicly. T - citrus, lemon, acidic dry, light malt, tannins, M - smooth but the tannins dig into the upper pallets O - the citrus notes of the hops are two strong for this to be enjoyable. It needed to be balanced with a larger malt presence. Also tasted slightly stale.

Bottle from Co-op. Amber pour with a white head. Citrus and floral aroma. Sweet spice, caramel and a splash of fruit in the flavour. Bitter-fruit finish.

Not bad, not good though. On the fizzy side and doesn’t look or smell extraordinary. Tastes OK though, quite drinkable.
